For magic, I just find a good space in the woods where no one's going to bug me! My fire eats energy, so it's really important not to get anyone stuck in it, right?
When I get ready to go scouting though, I make sure to pack a bag of anything I might need no matter what! If it's a normal trip, we'll typically know a bit about the place already...but if we're going ahead, we normally know a little less, so better safe than sorry!
And then the night before we leave, I have a staring contest with the slenderman in the pens.
