[Honestly it takes her a minute to realize who this was. Mostly this is because she has trouble wrapping her head around 'Lauren' being used for a boy's name.

But it probably makes sense, somehow.

By the end of it though-how can he not get it?! He just finished going on about undead again, and he still doesn't get it?! (well, maybe he wasn't 'going on' about it but. Still.)

If Lauren is checking the mail sock for Reply Messages, he'll find one soon enough, given that she has no idea which trailer is his.]

[Susan's watched and listened to Lauren and Carly talk, and even though he's not positive, he thinks that maybe them talking more would be a good thing. They seem to get along pretty well, and Lauren could use more friends... Or maybe more than friends.

When he sees a fancy restaurant in the Matrix, complete with various couples having a romantic meal together, it doesn't take him long to get an idea put together in his head. The first part of which, of course, is a letter to Carly.]

Dear Carly,

This might be kind of forward of me but I was hoping you would want to have dinner with me. I found a place that has food that I thought you might want to go to with me, it's name is [there is a restaurant name here]. If you're interested then please come tomorrow night and I will be there.

[Steven's been making seashell jewelry with the merfolk, and so naturally he's decided to share the wealth with his treasured friends. He'll either give it to you in person or via your mailbox. If in person, he'll pretty much just swim up to you and be like "Here! This is for you! I made it!" and if you get it in the mailbox it will have a note with it that basically says the same thing, plus a small doodle of a heart-shaped fish.

Steven has made Carly a seashell necklace. It will be gifted sometime during the off week.]

[Nearing the end of Carly's and Lambert's presentation about Mainframe, Allen heads to the trailer park. He hadn't wanted to stick around after he got the gist of it, so he left a little before Q&A was over.

Now he's wandering around the trailers looking rather lost, trying to find which one is hers. Wondering if this is even a good idea. He kind of pried a little back there . . .]

[Carly, for her part, moves as the crow flies, after the presentation. Which is to say, as a hummingbird. It is only the sight of Allen's shock of white hair that causes her to pause, stopping and hovering in place a moment before zooming down to take more human form again in a flurry of pixels and light.] Ahh, you came then...

[Was she hoping you forgot? Maybe. But she dug this hole, so...]

Ummm...well, if you want to know then, I guess we should sit down for it... [She does pause, however, in case it turns out he was just heading to HIS trailer or something.]

[ Lambert's not really in a mood to see anyone else, so he's staying well away from the crowded areas of the Carnival in the little time they have left before things truly hit the shitter. He's heading back down the mountain trail from ... wherever he's been, riding on Pig, when he catches sight of the figure floating in the waters of the lake. It's hard to mistake those changes for anyone else's, even at this distance, but considering how their last conversation ended, is approaching really a good idea right now?

Not that he has any choice. Pig -- and now Butcher -- are quartered there, after all. He guides the Mudsdale over to the rough pen by the lakeside, and it'll be hard to miss the two sets of hooves clopping on the ground. One set large and plodding, the other lighter and swifter, belonging to the orange donkey darting around the bigger horse. ]

[It's hard to hear when your ears are submerged. Everything sounds like rumbling, and with her eyes squeezed quite shut for now, she's certainly not about to see anything at all. What those hooves MAY disturb however, are something a little more precious-something she's had Nuna watching, as the marowak starts frantically gathering papers up before they can blow away. (And giving the radio there a good kick while she's at it. Thanks Nuna.)

Most of them start the same, if Lambert catches a glance at them-'Dear Jack', most begin, followed by things like- 'I don't know how this will get to you', or 'I really hope we can send letters from this place!' or 'It probably won't be too rude to write letters in a castle right...' or '....I don't know if I'm going to see you again.'

Mostly it's all very sentimental stuff that won't matter at all. Really all that Does matter is that there's a glowing light 'pancake' in the middle of the lake, occasionally sniffing and clutching a water floaty that somehow managed to not melt in the process of getting it steamed up.]

[Junko contacts Carly and asks for "fleece pink leopard fabric, regular cotton, same color, and some fairy lights if you have them. Oh! And some pins and colorful letters? I'll do a super duper big favor in return!"

Mun chatted with Usagi with Carly's answer given as: "no!!! It's fine! Every girl needs to be able to decorate~!'"

And so, Junko obtained what she requested, except maybe the fairy lights if they're available. ]

day 4, afternoon

....Well, what kind of thing do you need..? I could get some pants I guess, but I don't really have time to just pull something out given your tail you know....

[ Package delivery and an invitation to meet. ]

In a box as nicely wrapped as one can manage in the Carnival without blatantly stealing, Carly will find a king-sized quilt in her favorite colors (if Junko is allowed to analyze something like that) or a simple rainbow like the picture if not. Junko only learned to sew on D1, the fact that she could get this ornate with costume fabric scraps just big enough to make up a triangle without using a bolt of fabric...

It's absurd. But that's what she does. The only disappointment is the lack of variation in thread colors. It's a warm and comfortable thing, too, with the right, warmer scraps fitted to the underside and the more colorful ones outside. There's some insulation in there too, but it feels pretty DIY and amazing at the same time.

[Left in Carly's mailbox is a painted card, along with a small, thoroughly taped bunch of wrapping and tissue paper. The card smells of pine needles, snow and a fireplace, and features Papyrus, waving enthusiastically ahead. Somehow there's boneprint snowflakes faintly falling against the pale background. Along the header and footer, the card reads:]

Since you're always making clothes for everyone else, you can use this to make yourself something for a change. I know shit all about what colors look good on someone who's always on fire, so I got you something you can change to whatever you want, whenever you want. Touch it and name a pattern or color, and you'll see for yourself. Just don't confuse it, or the results won't be pretty.

I've a few questions for you! [ And then, without waiting for anything, Strange just continues talking. ]

One, can you teach me basic sewing stitches? Nothing too fancy, I simply want to sew someone's name on something and sew two pieces of fabric together for another. And another question: there is leftover fabric and ribbons when wardrobe makes outfits, correct? Can I use a piece or two of that for a present? Nothing too large, of course, it's for someone tiny.

[Her signature is so massive and florid that it fills up the rest of the paper. When they opens the box, they'll find something like this, with a hooded cloak that fits over top. It is a shadow cloak, meaning it will neutralize the light coming off of her and her wings while she wears it. The jumpsuit is quite comfortable to wear and could be used to sleep in.]

[ When she gets there, there's a few bouquets of flowers, some of which match fabric that Strange knows the carnival has excess of. They're just boring ordinary flowers but they look and smell amazing (ignore the fact that the vases are glasses he stole from the kitchen). There's also a box with 'To Carly' written on the top. Inside is a bottle of faerie ale and another note. ]

It is a white throw pillow made with slightly iridescent faux fur, with a contrastingly pink patch of felt stitched to the front in the shape of a bird. The white fabric smells faintly of lavender and other hard to place relaxing aromas, and has subtle magical soothing effect from being close to it.]

[After all the... um... harmless shenanigans thanks to some poor judgement between people that know exactly who they are and what they did at the lake party, eventually Yugo remembers that there was still something he really wanted to talk about with Carly. So he chooses around the same time he marched into the wardrobe tent a couple days previous to radio directly to her private frequency.

And he does the call while outside his trailer so not to disturb his roommate.]

Hey, Carly... you awake over there?

Hmmm? [Well, she's here alright. And awake...now. She sits upon her bed and blinks, clicking the radio on to reply.] I'm here...
